Room 27 has been inspired!

Room 27 conducted an artist study in Term 1. We examined the artworks of Friesinsreich Hundertwasser. He was an amazing artist who took up residence in New Zealand, and is one of our most treasured architects. You may have heard of his famous toilets in Kawakawa!

Hundertwasser rebelled against the straight line, believing that straight lines made people unhappy. He wanted to live and work close to nature, and his beliefs brought him to New Zealand.

We examined his use of line, colour, spirals and repeated pattern, and then created an artwork that used his ideas.
Check our artworks out here, or see them on display in the school auditorium!
